Up to 10 converter boxes in case a woman would have a TV in her room.

Daystar also hosts evening seminars (at least two per month) where we bring in facilitators for topics for self-empowerment ranging from Successful Living Seminars to Seminars on Finance, Exercise, Nutrition, Positive Thinking, Self-esteem….
Some of our ladies work second shift and are not able to attend the seminar. For them we offer an alternative of chapters in some books on the topic, books on CD’s or another topic related to their goals on their Individual Development Plan.

Gift Certificates for Borders or Waldenbooks would aide us in providing quality material.

Resident input is obtained in setting the Topics for the seminars and self improvement CD’s, books etc. as well as input from facilitators on books

Daystar with the help of volunteers transformed one of our big basement rooms into a creative craft art/art therapy studio.

Supplies are always needed. We could use art materials including paper, paints(water colors or acrylics), pastel chalks, drawing pencils(both regular and colored), art easels, craft beads, scrap fabric, yarn, Newsprint, art paper for water color or acrylics….
